There isn’t much that I love more than live events.

I’ve spent more than a decade working in production - over 800 events and more than 26,000 hours on site. Concerts, festivals, one-offs, long runs, overnight calls and plenty of days that started before sunrise and ended sometime the next morning.

These days, most of my work revolves around lighting and special effects.

 

I design, program, operate and build lighting systems. I'm usually somewhere behind an MA console, leading a crew, troubleshooting a rig, or figuring out why something that worked five minutes ago suddenly doesn’t.

​

On the pyrotechnics side, I work on large-scale productions across the country - from plots and prep through installation, operation and firing the show. Flames, cryo, pyro and the systems behind them.

​

Different departments, same reality. Plans change. Gear doesn’t show up. Weather happens. Power goes out. A truck is late. Someone needs something that wasn’t on the drawing. Doors are still on time.

​

I’ve worked small rooms and massive festival sites. I’ve led crews, built lighting systems, programmed shows, installed effects and filled whatever hole needed filling that day. I’m comfortable behind a console, on a lift, in the air, backstage or standing in the middle of a festival field with a radio wondering where the truck is.

Figure it out. Keep moving. Make the show happen.
